My Point of View: In business, credibility can be created before competence is tested. We can sell them on trusting us by engineering the first impressions we want, so let's be intentional and let's be sharp.
ð© Classic Menswear Conventions â Know the Rule to Break the Rule
#28. Q: Whatâs the rule for a mirror shine for shoes in menâs style?
A Mirror Shine is incredible, but it takes a serious amount of time and effort. You donât need to go to that extreme and you can get to a very acceptable high shine. Scuffed, dirty, down-at-heel or un-shined shoes are not acceptable. Once you have created a mirror shine and you scuff your shoe or some nincompoop steps on your toe, that mirror shine is ruined, and you will feel instantly suicidal and possibly even homicidal.
