Title: Far
Game: Minecraft
Composer: C418
Arranger: Jacob Keeley
Featuring: Jacob Keeley, Cynthia Xi, Minsi Hu, Matt Doyle, Daniel Xing, Anish Bhupalam, Claire Huang
Your local jukebox radio and their feathery host have returned to present to you another of Minecraft’s elusive music discs! Unlike the previously performed Cat, Far cannot be obtained from a dungeon chest. Instead, the stars must align to allow for the rare event of a skeleton killing a creeper with one of its arrows. This unusual occurrence results in the creeper’s life being exchanged for a music disc, with Far being one of many that can be obtained this way. This disc lives up to its name, as its spacious soundscapes make you feel like you are catching glimpses of far away melodies. In this adaptation, clarinets, violins and piano return, and are joined by the reverberant tones of vibraphone and electric guitar. Now sit back, relax, and let the music take you far away.
