Far Cry New Dawn is a 2019 post-apocalyptic first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. The game is a spin-off of the Far Cry series and a narrative sequel to Far Cry 5. As a result, it features many pre-existing gameplay elements from the series, including a large open world, capturing of outposts, and AI or co-op companions; it also introduces several elements from RPG gameplay, including an upgradeable home base and increased reliance on crafting from limited supplies.[2] The story is set seventeen years after the events of Far Cry 5. After the nuclear exchange known as "the Collapse" devastated the world, survivors attempt to rebuild the community in Hope County.Similar to its predecessors, Far Cry New Dawn is an action-adventure first-person shooter set in an open world environment which the player can explore freely on foot or via various vehicles. The game is set in the fictional Hope County, Montana and uses a reimagined version of Far Cry 5's map. The nuclear war portrayed in Far Cry 5 has reshaped the landscape so that new areas have become available for the player to explore while others are inaccessible.
The player assumes the role of a new character, whose gender and ethnicity can be customized.[3] The Guns for Hire and the Fangs for Hire systems from Far Cry 5 return, with the character being able to recruit human survivors and animals for combat assistance.[4] In addition to new characters, the game's cast includes an array of returning characters from Far Cry 5. The player character can also encounter several specialists who have their own personal missions, special abilities and story and help players to repair their weapons. New weapons are introduced in the game, including a "Saw Launcher" that fires the blades of circular saws. Players acquire new weapons and attachments, which can be upgraded to three different levels through crafting and finishing missions. Vehicles can also be crafted.[5]
Players can embark on treasure hunts and liberate different enemy encampments and outposts. Once liberated, they become fast travel points that enable players to quickly navigate the world. These outposts can be occupied and used to manufacture ethanol fuel or raided for resources which leaves the outpost open to "escalation", in which the Highwaymen may reclaim these camps.[4] This allows the player to replay the outposts on higher difficulty settings. The game also features an upgradable home base named Prosperity, which would slowly expand and grow in size as players progress. The game also features a mode called "Expeditions", which allows the player to travel to other locations in the United States such as Louisiana to look for more resources and packages.[3] As these regions are outside the main map and smaller in size, the development team was able to create more complex environments for Expeditions. Expedition missions can be completed with other players.[6]The story is set seventeen years after the events of Far Cry 5. After the nuclear exchange known as "the Collapse" devastated the world, survivors attempt to rebuild the community in Hope County. Their efforts focus on Prosperity, a township built on the remains of John Seed's ranch. The survivors are threatened by the Highwaymen, a roving band of organized bandits. The Highwaymen are organised into chapters, with the local chapter led by twin sisters Mickey and Lou (voiced by Cara Ricketts and Leslie Miller).[6] The Highwaymen terrorize the landscape, forcing survivors into submission and stripping communities of resources before moving on. The remnants of the Project at Eden's Gate—the antagonists of Far Cry 5—have established their own community called New Eden. They have given up most forms of modern technology and isolated themselves in the north of Hope County. Despite embracing Joseph Seed's teachings, New Eden is wracked by internal division that arose after Joseph's disappearance. The game also features the return of the Deputy, now one of Joseph's acolytes known as the Judge; and Joseph Seed (Greg Bryk); the protagonist and main antagonist of Far Cry 5 respectively.[7] The player takes on the role of a new character dubbed the "Security Captain", who is part of a group that travels the country assisting other survivor groups in need.
Far Cry New Dawn uses a smaller version of the Hope County map featured in Far Cry 5. Large sections of northern and eastern Hope County are inaccessible after being irradiated. Some parts of the north can be accessed over the course of the story campaign. Many of the individual locations from Far Cry 5 have been redesigned, either having been reclaimed by nature or repurposed by the Highwaymen. Some of these locations have new areas for the player to explore, such as cave systems, bunkers or buildings.

Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara[a] is a 1996 beat em up game developed and published by Capcom for arcades. It is a sequel to Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom.[2][3] The game is set in the Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting of Mystara.
Combining the side-scrolling gameplay of a beat em up with some aspects found in a role-playing video game, Shadow over Mystara has many mechanics not commonly found in arcade games, such as finding and equipping gear and earning new spells as the player gains experience. Players can wield a large variety of weapons and armor, although this selection is limited by the character that is chosen. There is also an extensive assortment of magical and hidden items in the game, many of which are completely unknown to exist to the average player. This, along with the addition of multiple endings and forking paths, gives the game high replayability and has led to a cult following among fans of the genre.
It was one of the last 2-D arcade side-scrollers created by Capcom; only Battle Circuit (1997) came after Shadow over Mystara. The game has seen two home releases as part of the compilations: Dungeons & Dragons Collection published for the Sega Saturn in 1999, and Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara made available on the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and Steam in 2013. ![Splatterhouse (Arcade) Walkthrough No Commentary
Splatterhouse[a] is a 1988 beat em up video game developed and published by Namco for Japanese arcades. It was the first in a series of games released in home console and personal computer formats. This game would later spawn the parody Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti, the sequels Splatterhouse 2, Splatterhouse 3, and the 2010 remake Splatterhouse, with the classic games being added to Namco Museum since 2017.
Marketing for the game heavily emphasized its violent nature; for example, the TurboGrafx-16 port of Splatterhouse had a faux parental advisory warning printed on the front of the box that read, The horrifying theme of this game may be inappropriate for young children... and cowards.Splatterhouse is an arcade-style sidescrolling beat em up with platform elements[3] in which the player controls Rick, a parapsychology college major who is trapped inside West Mansion. After his resurrection by the Terror Mask, Rick makes his way through the mansion, fighting off hordes of creatures in a vain attempt to save his girlfriend Jennifer from a grisly fate.[4] The game is influenced by western horror films, such as Friday the 13th, Evil Dead II, Poltergeist, Rejuvenatrix, and Parasite, as well as imagery inspired by the works of horror writer H. P. Lovecraft such as Herbert West–Reanimator.
Similar to many sidescrolling beat em up games, Rick can only move in a two-dimensional environment. He has the ability to jump and can punch and kick. Rick also has a Special Attack, where he will perform a dropkick that sends him skidding along the ground, damaging any enemies he hits. Rick can also perform a low kick, low punch, and jumping attacks, as well as pick up and use various weapons placed in the levels.
All of the levels consist of walking left to right, with occasional auto-scrolling segments. However, alternative pathways through sections of the house are possible by falling down through holes or jumping up onto ladders. In this way, branching gameplay is possible, if only prevalent in the middle levels. Levels culminate in boss fights that take place in a single room.
Unlike traditional sidescrolling fighters, boss fights have varying objectives and styles. Unlike most arcade games in the genre, Splatterhouse sends players back to checkpoints after losing lives or receiving a game over, discouraging credit feeding as a method of overcoming the various challenges. Days Gone is a 2019 action-adventure survival horror video game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows.
Set in a post-apocalyptic Oregon two years after the start of a global pandemic, former outlaw-turned-drifter Deacon St. John discovers the possibility of his wife Sarah still being alive, which leads Deacon on a quest to find her. Days Gone is played from a third-person perspective, in which the player can explore an open world environment. Players can use firearms, melee weapons and improvised weapons, and can use stealth to defend against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures known as Freakers. A major game mechanic is Deacons motorcycle, which is used as the player characters primary mode of transportation as well as mobile inventory.
Originally slated for a 2018 launch, Days Gone was delayed several times. The game eventually released on April 26, 2019. Upon release, it received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the open-world aspect, gameplay, and Sam Witwers performance as Deacon, although the story, lack of character development, and several technical issues were criticized.
As part of Sonys efforts to bring more of its first-party content to Microsoft Windows following Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone released on Windows on May 18, 2021.[1][2]Days Gone is an action-adventure survival horror game set in a post-apocalyptic open world, played from a third-person perspective. The player controls Deacon St. John (Sam Witwer), a former U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division Afghanistan War veteran outlaw-turned-drifter and bounty hunter who prefers life on the road to wilderness encampments.[3] The game takes place two years after a global pandemic occurred which killed almost all of humanity, and transformed millions of others into Freakers, mindless nocturnal zombie-like creatures that are quickly evolving.[3] In the E3 2016 stage demo, two types of Freakers were revealed, Newts and Swarmers.[4] In the E3 2017 stage demo, infected animals such as bears and wolves were revealed to also comprise the Freakers, and human enemies are revealed to be featured in the game as well.
The player can complete objectives in multiple ways, such as by using stealth mechanics, and long and short ranged weapons. A dynamic weather system and day-night cycle make Freakers weak and slow by day but fast and aggressive by night. Deacons main transportation vehicle is a motorcycle that can be modified with parts to enhance its speed, durability or maneuverability, among other parameters. The player can craft weapons that can be repaired after extended use. Player can pick up already crafted weapons from enemies. The player is able to craft new items to improve combat efficiency.[5] Days Gone (Pc) Walkthrough No Commentary (Part 2 of 3)](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/icmRURoj8kQ/mqdefault.jpg)
