I use the default brushes that come with Photoshop.
The most common ones I use are the hard edge brush, and the smallest "spatter" brush.
My left hand is always hovering at the left corner of my keyboard for quick key commands.
I use the left and right bracket keys to upsize/downsize my brush very quickly.
You'll notice that I use the default opacity pressure settings on everything, and I click all of the locks on my brush settings with "Other dynamics" checked, and"pen pressure" selected under opacity and flow jitter.
