This is my interview with historical fiction writer Tim Leach.
We talk about the books Tim was reading growing up and how a change at university led him to develop a love of writing. He then went on to explore his ability as a writer, finding out about his strengths, which led to further study at university.
Tim is now an Associate Professor and a teacher of creative writing at the University of Warwick. We discuss his move into historical fiction, finding the gaps in history, where information is sparse, and how that can lead to some exciting ideas and creative wiggle room for interesting stories.
His latest novel, A Winter War, is now available from Head of Zeus.
