In this episode, Em and The Gang paddles down the Maury River with a group of friends who live nearby in Virginia. Although there were downpours in the area, and the river was running a little high, we still had a blast paddling down the rapids (nothing above a class 2) and exploring the pools along the waterfall on a creek that dumps into the river. It was warm enough to get wet without being miserable, but also not too hot to enjoy the day. It was a quick trip, putting in at Bean's Bottom and out at Jordan Point. #familykayaking #funforall #kidscankayaktoo #exploreyourworld
Special thanks to "Dad of all Trades" for letting us borrow their sit on top adult kayaks. Because of them, each person in our group had their own boat, which made it really nice so we could all go at our own pace. Paddling with family is a great activity for kids. It can also be exciting or relaxing for adults. Kayaking is great fun for all ages. You can get your kids out on the water, too. Just make sure you have snacks, follow safety protocols, and aren't afraid to stop and explore along the way.
