Today, Em and Mike take Anderson and the dogs hiking at a new location. Unfortunately, It is a hiking fail because it is full of dead ends and trails that are hard to follow because they are unmarked trails. In fact, none of the trails are marked. We still have a great time exploring along the Little River and seeing some cool rock formations.
Our new location for this adventure is an amazing rock formation called the Rolesville Batholith. It's a place where a huge mass of granite has intruded into the surrounding rock in the area. Where we are visiting the Little River flows over the batholith, creating a lot of really pretty spots. There are small waterfalls, and many places where you can play among the boulders in the water.
