In this video we see how to start coding a Falling Sand Simulation using Jitter Matrices and Javascript in the Max 9 V8 object.
In part 2 we will finish this simple simulation and use Typed Arrays instead of reading and writing jitter matrices directly.
With Typed Arrays we can transfer data between jitter matrices and JS arrays in a super fast way, which makes iterating over matrices content much more performant than by accessing matrix data directly (like with "setcell" and "getcell", for example).

![Max/MSP Jitter 8.3 Features Walkthrough | Special Guests Rob Ramirez & Matteo Marson
In this video I have two very special guests with me: Rob Ramirez and Matteo Marson from the C74 Jitter Team.
Together we take an in-depth look at the new Jitter features introduced with the Max 8.3 version update, and Matteo gives us a sneak peak of some features which are not yet available.
The features shown include the new object [ jit.gl.pbr ] for extremely good looking rendering, and the mask mode for [ jit.gl.meshwarp ].
Enjoy!
