This mindset can be traced back to an egocentric desire for the world to exist only in a way that suits one's personal comfort and happiness, rather than considering the well-being of society as a whole. It stems from entitlement and privilege, particularly among those who have grown accustomed to getting what they want without resistance. When such individuals face the slightest inconvenience or opposition, they respond by attempting to impose their will on others, rather than adjusting to reality.

This entitlement manifests in the refusal to perform job duties based on personal beliefs, even when those responsibilities were clear from the start. The expectation that one's personal convictions should override professional obligations is fundamentally flawed. If someone opposes handling pork due to religious reasons, they shouldn’t seek employment in a slaughterhouse. If they reject mixed fabrics, they shouldn't work in textile production. Instead of taking personal responsibility for aligning their career with their beliefs, they attempt to force the world to accommodate them—shifting the burden onto employers, coworkers, and the public. At its core, this behavior is about refusing accountability and demanding special treatment, all under the guise of religious or moral conviction.

WHAT IS THE NON-PROPHETS?

The Non-Prophets is a internet show airing at 06:00pm Central time Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday each week. Where we navigate through current events, providing a secular viewpoint that adds depth to the unfolding narrative.

The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.
