I know the title isn't the most original, but hey, it was better than leaving it blank. I also wanted to finally get this plot underway. I had meant to post it back in February, but a lot of RL stuff came up (and no, not just certain things the media doesn't want me to talk about).
Elsa awakens after having a dream about an accident that fell on her parents in her childhood. Her father was a doctor, trying to find medicine for his deathly ill wife. However, something went wrong during the experiment, and as a result, he died from exposure to his own cryogenic chemicals. Elsa's mother survived, having been put in suspended animation prior, but has yet to awaken from her coma. Taking a walk in the gardens to calm down, Elsa comes across a woman in a mourning cloak, lamenting the loss of a child. She shows sympathy and expresses her own feelings of loss. The woman turns to look at her, revealing herself as the Snow Queen, who's been spying on Elsa via her curse. Elsa tries to run, but the Snow Queen gains the upper hand by using her powers of eternal winter to trap Elsa and drag her into her ice carriage, driving them both away.
