Character: Neon (black she-cat), Light (she-cat floating above)
Story: Neon was one of two kits in her litter. Tragically, her mother died fighting a fox, leaving Neon and her sister alone when they were barely two months old. Her sister, Indigo, died of starvation, but Neon was able to survive using her powers: generating stripes of light which she used to trap prey. Soon she began creating another cat from the lights, and this cat grew to be her companion in a lonely world. After a while, Light (the cat she had made) grew sentient, acting on her own and becoming fully formed.
Moons later, Neon was discovered by a clan of cats who took her in. Now Neonkit, she got into trouble with some of the other kits, sneaking out to explore her new territory. The kits stumbled upon a badger, and Neon was only just able to generate a shield of lights. A stray blow from the retreating badger caught Neon in the side, leaving her unconscious. When she came to, Light had disappeared and her powers had severely weakened.
She waited moons for her powers to return (becoming an apprentice in the meantime), but they never seemed to heal. After a while, she heard of an herb that could possibly heal her, and she made it her mission to find it. After searching for seasons, she did find and use the herb, but its abilities were not enough. She only managed to form Light for a brief time before the she-cat faded away...
