Ight, now that that's out of the way, lets get to the Halo! So today we have a Halo 4 montage that is in my opinion one one of the better ones to date, and it is Faceripper v2's H4M2. I've already typed a shit ton so lets hop into the review.
Gameplay: The reason this montage is among my more favorite H4 tages is because it actuallys seems to respect the standards of Halo 4 unlike many H4 tages of recent times. There were however some dud clips here and there, but I can completely overlook those when you get to the crazier clips. Faceripper is the fucking Scythe God, and his pick up Binary tac to poc may be one of the greatest H4 clips of all time (at least its high up there). I also enjoyed the tast on Scythe and was wonderfully surprised to see a tast on Settler without a sniper, a task that is not easy to complete. The gameplay was a breath of fresh air from H4 tages of late, and features some of the most topnotch social GP which is lacking in this community for sure. Thank you for giving me hope sir.
9/10 spectacular clips, only a couple duds
Editing: Now obviously I need to address the letterbox. I personally don't mind the white letterbox in the intro, but once the gameplay starts, I think that you should have taken away the letterbox. Now this isn't a huge factor as after a while the viewers eyes get used to it, but initially it can be quite uncomfortable. Other than that I actually felt you flowed this tage to dubstep very well. I've said this a bunch of times before, but dubstep is easily the toughest genre to edit to, and if you don't do it correctly you can be left with a disaster of an edit (I can give many examples). You didn't over edit and made sure the awesome clips were viewable, but yet you kept to a very nice sync and the gun audio matched perfectly to make those syncs very satisfying to the senses. Also love the outro credits, really put a nice cherry on top, Nice job! Oh ya one more thing. You may be the first editor to ever point out an AFK player in a clip xD
8/10 once you get past the letterbox situation (which is a personal preference of mine) the edit is really quite good.
