After I got 24:561, the Doc was sad, not only because I destroyed him, but also because I didn't also beat Giulio Centrone, to whom the Doc is tied to in the nonPRB rankings. Therefore I grinded the next day and today to also destroy Centrone, so that the doc remains tied to him ;)

At first try Yoshi Standard kart. Its easier to handle. Try ROB Std next.
Of course use the character Dry Bones. In case you go off road slightly, Dry Bones is the fastest off road (being the lightest character in the game).
You could get even faster times by starting on lap 2, but this is more advanced.
