Just a couple of late evening flights with the Raptor.
Upright sustained high alpha past 30º AoA is not something this jet truly appreciates apparently but inverted high alpha is pretty straightforward apparently. These were my first shy attempts at it with this plane. It came out good so I made more of it and pushed it further on my following flights. Keep tuned for the vids!
It still doesn't top the Su-35 (and don't think it ever will) but I see this jet easily becoming one of my all-time favourites... it's just such a blast to fly! ;D
Mind that although most of the jet is stock, I performed several modifications. Removed the infamous Blue Box and wing ribbon wires, passed individual leads to wing servos, mixed them all separately, removed pilot figure and nose gear light, installed a HE A3S3 gyro (which required physical servo reversing one stabilator servo, inverting motor and pot wires), added a green LED to make a fake HUD reflection effect, airbrushed the canopy to make it look more golden, like the full-scale one. Need to pick the sun at the right angle to show up though!

Gyro: Hobby Eagle A3S3 (added as a mod)
Separate UBEC: TGY 8-15A (added as a mod)
Receiver battery: Rhino 2S 500 and 610mAh (added as a mod)
Main battery packs: (All weighing around 800g combined)
- HRB 2x 4S 4200mAh 50C
- Turnigy Panther 2x 4S 3000mAh 75C
- Turnigy Nanotech 2x 4S 3300mAh 70C
