Back to topic: I recently I painted my Freewing F/A-18C with a custom scheme representing an old spanish NTM (Nato Tiger Meet) livery that celebrated 25 years of 'Ala 15' squadron history (which essentially converts my F/A-18C into an EF-18A or C15).
I spent quite some time going through the process of learning how to use an airbrush, then on to the actual painting... but I am pretty satisfied with how she came out in the end, more so for this being my first airbrush work! (Well, technically I used brush painting and permanent markers in addition to airbrush, keep tuned because I will release a video on the entire process on my second channel (youtube.com/RC4ever). Most of the decals were provided by Callie Graphics (https://callie-graphics.com)
I fell in love with this particular scheme years ago as I saw this particular livery perform several times in different local airshows, so I thought it was only logic to paint my Freewing F-18 sporting the same looks. Sadly, I am told that the original no longer exists as it was repainted back in military grey. What a pity... :'(
These were some pretty cool flights despite being very windy days, and I was also testing lighter batteries.

This was the first time I got to see a Gripen fly at an airshow, what a blast!!! :DDD
... And gotta love and appreciate the extra beauty of a sunset flight display with a fighter jet blasting the afterburner! ^^

The Saab JAS 39 Gripen is a light single-engine multirole fighter aircraft manufactured by the Swedish aerospace and defense company Saab AB. The Gripen has a delta wing and canard configuration with relaxed stability design and fly-by-wire flight controls. Later aircraft are fully NATO interoperable. As of 2020, more than 271 Gripens of all models, A–F, have been built.
The Gripen is intended as a light-weight and agile aerial platform with advanced, highly adaptable avionics. It has canard control surfaces that contribute a positive lift force at all speeds, while the generous lift from the delta wing compensates for the rear stabiliser producing negative lift at high speeds, increasing induced drag. Being intentionally unstable and employing digital fly-by-wire flight controls to maintain stability removes many flight restrictions, improves manoeuvrability, and reduces drag. The Gripen also has good short take-off performance, being able to maintain a high sink rate and strengthened to withstand the stresses of short landings. A pair of air brakes are located on the sides of the rear fuselage. The canards also angle downward to act as air brakes and decrease landing distance. It is capable of flying at a 70–80 degrees angle of attack.
To enable the Gripen to have a long service life, roughly 50 years, Saab designed it to have low maintenance requirements. Major systems such as the RM12 engine and PS-05/A radar are modular to reduce operating cost and increase reliability. The Gripen was designed to be flexible, so that newly developed sensors, computers, and armaments could be integrated as technology advances. The aircraft was estimated to be roughly 67% sourced from Swedish or European suppliers and 33% from the US.
One key aspect of the Gripen programme that Saab have been keen to emphasize has been technology-transfer agreements and industrial partnerships with export customers. The Gripen is typically customized to customer requirements, enabling the routine inclusion of local suppliers in the manufacturing and support processes.

Flygfesten is one of the biggest airshows in Europe. It attracts around 50.000 attendees. Flygfesten is an eventful weekend with world class pilots and airplanes. Flygfesten has been organized every three to four years since the re-launch in 1986. It is held in Sweden by Västerdalarnas Aero club, an aeroclub located in Dala-Järna in Vansbro municipality, with about 7000 inhabitants.
Flygfesten is a non-profit arrangement and is held to promote the activity of the club in particular and to aviation in general. It offers a good forum for aviation enthusiasts to meet other like minded, while it is a fine opportunity for the Club to recruit new members.

The gorgeous, stealthy Su-57 steals the hearts of everyone present at the airshow at the hands of Sergey Bogdan with such an astounding display of post-stall maneuvers and pulling clouds out of thin air that leaves everyone marvelled! :D
This is an old Su-57 video from MAKS 2015 with very cool shots that I decided to remaster now that I have better tools to make it look as good as possible. :)
Sergey Bogdan (Сергей Богдан) is the chief test pilot of the Sukhoi Company, so he is the best suited to perform these sort of mind-boggling flight performances with the Sukhoi Su-57, a russian 5th generation fighter aircraft.
The Sukhoi Su-57, previously designated T-50 (Сухой Су-57 / T-50) is a single-seat, twin-engine, stealth fighter aircraft with multirole capability but designed for air superiority and attack operations. This jet aircraft is the product of the PAK-FA (ПАК-ФА, Перспективный авиационный комплекс фронтовой авиации, literally Prospective Aviation Complex of Frontline Aviation), a fifth-generation fighter programme of the Russian Air Force. The first prototype performed the maiden flight on January 29, 2010. Deliveries of production aircraft to the Russian Air Force are expected to begin in 2018.
The fighter is intended to succeed the MiG-29 and Su-27 in the Russian Air Force and to serve as the basis for the Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft (FGFA) while complementing the recently built fleets of SU-35S and SU-30SM. The initial production batch are to be delivered with a highly upgraded variant of the AL-31F engine, extensively used by the Su-27 family while a totally new turbofan jet powerplant is being designed from scratch. In fact the first prototype of this engine has already been fitted into a SU-57 airframe and has already begun testing.
The Su-57 has a blended wing body fuselage and incorporates all-moving horizontal and vertical stabilizers. The aircraft incorporates thrust vectoring nozzles and has adjustable leading edge vortex controllers (LEVCONs) that improve high angle of attack behaviour. The advanced flight control system and thrust vectoring nozzles make the aircraft highly maneuverable in both pitch and yaw, enabling it to perform post-stall maneuvers such as the Pugachevs Cobra and the Bell maneuver, along with doing flat rotations with little altitude loss. The aircrafts high cruising speed and normal operating altitude is also expected to give it a significant kinematic advantage over older fighter jet generations.
