F-16 Drops GBU-39 SMALL DIAMETER BOMB! (Testing A Precision-Guided Glide Bomb)

A General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the 416th Flight Test Squadron successfully performed a GBU-39 bomb drop flight test. Guided Bomb Unit 39 is a precision-guided glide bomb weighing only 250 lb — allowing aircraft to carry a larger number of smart, more precise and efficient weapons.

This test, conducted at Edwards Air Force Base, California, was in support of the Republic of Korea F-16 Update Program.
