The 3.7km track was located on the streets of the city of the same name in Arizona, features a bumpy track with a series of 90-degree turns, which becomes even more difficult to turn with the lack of grip.
The street circuit of Phoenix held three United Stats Grands Prix between 1989 and 1991. The last Grand Prix held in Arizona changed its layout due to urban planning changes.
