We’re using trail cameras to monitor wildlife for signs of New World screwworm infestation such as enlarging wounds or distress.

🪰 The New World screwworm fly lays eggs in live warm-blooded animals, The larvae (maggots) burrow or “screw” into the host’s flesh, causing severe wounds and often death if untreated.

If you see signs of New World screwworm, please report it.
