While Ranger Eric was in west Texas for a training recently, he had the opportunity to see our state reptile, the Texas Horned Lizard, in the wild!

These lizards are also referred to as Horny Toads by many, even though they are not an amphibian in the slightest!

They are incredible animals, whose numbers have been steadily declining statewide for years, so to see another one in the wild again was amazing!
