Research has found a way to make the cells of the retina in the eye to start working and communicating 5 hours after death. When they supplied the eye with the correct nutrients and oxygen, the eye started to respond to light.

These findings may be used in the future to help people with retina problems such as macular degeneration. Or... it could be the begging of the zombie apocalypse.
