It’s a First Alert Weather Day with an Extreme Heat Warning in effect for the Valley through 8 p.m. Saturday. First Alert days continue through Saturday for temperatures that will continue to run 5 to 10 degrees above normal.

As high pressure shifts back east over the weekend, rain chances will climb. Look for a 20 percent chance of Valley rain Friday night, climbing to near 40 percent by Saturday night. Rain is also possible Sunday during the day and again Sunday night. Ian Schwartz has the latest forecast.
