It’s easy to forget that people in the Bible had real, everyday contexts. There were musicians, migrants, merchants, military commanders, mothers, and managers, to name just a few examples.
That’s the starting point for this series developed in partnership with God TV. ExtraOrdinary brings the everyday contexts of people in the Bible – some familiar, some less familiar – to life. Coupled with contemporary stories, these vivid retellings help Christians see that God cares about every aspect of their lives and spark their imaginations for how God is already working in and through them.
Because, ultimately, with Jesus our ordinary lives are made extraordinary. He invites us to join in his work, right where we are – to act and interact differently and expectantly so that our homes, workplaces, and communities might become more like heaven and people might encounter Jesus.
