If you are interested in connecting a ground mounted solar panel to your caravan then this idea for an externally mounted MC4 connector box may be of interest to you.
In this video I helped a friend connect an externally ground mounted panel to his van via a home made connector box. His van already had a factory fitted solar panel on the roof but the idea should work just as well with only a ground mounted panel.
Because we already had a spare 60w panel we actually mixed the sizes and I also go into the details of when to use parallel or series connection with regards to mixed panels.
