🚐 Join us as we follow the beautiful Dordogne River through southwest France, stopping at three very different riverside campsites along the way.
Our journey begins at Camping La Plage in Saint-Sozy, where we enjoy a fantastic pitch right on the river. With its own river beach, crystal-clear water and temperatures reaching 36°C, it quickly became the perfect place to cool off during the French heatwave.
From there we move on to Camping Plein Air des Bories in Carsac-Aillac, where we collect a much-needed replacement part for Matt's bike, explore the peaceful countryside and settle into another campsite beside the Dordogne.
Our final stop is Camping Le Perpetuum near Domme, a beautiful campsite just a short walk from one of the Dordogne Valley's most stunning villages. We explore Domme, enjoy a fantastic meal at the campsite restaurant and take in the spectacular scenery that makes this area so special.
Along the way we share riverside motorhome pitches, river beaches, swimming spots, campsite reviews, countryside walks and what it's really like travelling through France during a summer heatwave.
