Budapest is a city rich with history and we enjoyed exploring and learning more about this place. Our apartment was just a few minutes walk to the beautiful St. Stephen's basilica so we made that our first stop and then we made our way towards the Jewish quarters. Dohany Street Synagogue is the largest in Europe and is steeped in history which includes providing refuge to 20,000 Jews during World War II. The Hungarian Jewish museum is just a few steps away and houses many religious artifacts.
