Combining artificial Intelligence (AI) and open science can accelerate scientific discovery, redefine the boundaries of scientific research and democratise access to knowledge, suggested participants in a symposium on 6 June 2024 co-hosted by UNESCO and the Royal Society in the UK, which also featured the launch of the latter’s report on Science in the Age of AI.
