Since 2016, the $225m Exploring for the Future program has been gathering, analysing and providing precompetitive geoscience data, information and tools to help inform decision-making by government, community and industry on the sustainable development of Australia's mineral, energy and groundwater resources, supporting our transition to net zero.
The 2023 Showcase is a free online event, where a team of geoscience experts reflect on the value of the program and share scientific highlights and precompetitive geoscience results with the minerals, groundwater and energy sectors, government, academia, research, colleagues, collaborators and the public.
This session included presentations on:
00:00:00 - Exploring for the Future Introduction
00:02:38 - Acknowledgement of Country
00:05:37 - Hydrogen storage potential - Dr Andrew Feitz
00:21:09 - Mineral systems from isotopes to fluids - Dr Evgeniy Bastrakov
00:38:42 - Improved methods for characterisation of groundwater dependent ecosystems (Upper Darling River Floodplain case study) - Dr Sarah Buckerfield
00:52:35 - Atlas of Australian Mine Waste - Jane Thorne
01:07:01 - Question and answer session
You can access slides from the presentations at dx.doi.org/10.26186/148683
