We got together with Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici's Jewellery Department Supervisor Yoko Shimizu to explore the history surrounding the Ponte Vecchio as well as the modern and contemporary artisans working in the city.

We stopped at the Gatto Bianco, an artisan workshop and shop a stone's throw from the Ponte Vecchio, to chat with the owners about their approach and innovative jewellery techniques.

We then went to Yoko's personal workshop to discover how she is inspired by her adopted city.
