The history and mystery of Pen Pits dating from the Mesolithic period then used until Roman times a special area not well known in Somerset . The use of the Pits and the reasons why they were dug in this area remains a mystery , there are many possibilities . I visit the Pits to try and establish what I am able to see today against what the area may have been like. Join Dean and myself on a small adventure in history on a Summer evening in Somerset !
