Exploring Abandoned Mines and Unusual Places | Exploring an Amazing, Massive Abandoned Mine (Part 1) @AbandonedMines11 | Uploaded May 2022 | Updated October 2024, 4 minutes ago.
Oh boy! There were SO many interesting features in this massive, multi-level, abandoned mine including a flooded vertical shaft of unknown depth, a main haulage tunnel that’s 2000 feet long (609 m), colonies of dive-bombing bats, endless tunnels, lots of heavy-duty timbering, and scary artwork from an unknown painter.
Here in Part 1, I explore most of the main haulage tunnel and one of its branching drifts that leads to a large, flooded vertical shaft. While wandering through endless tunnels, I came across a few colonies of bats hanging upside down from the ceiling. They appeared to be quite active and healthy.
Don’t miss the sneak-peek previews of scenes from Part 2 at the end of this video!
