This post office was built in 1907, supplying the area with posted goods and more.

This Edwardian-Baroque style building was built architect Walter Pott.

It served as the town’s main public post office and sorting office from 1908 until around 1997.

The Grade II listed sorting office with its fabulous woodwork, window frames and huge sweeping sorting table now nothing but a charred mess.
