For your viewing pleasure, the trilogy of the final farewell from the village all in one video.
Part 1
The Clean Up Begins
I clear the fire pit which has had fire upon fire in it and a total mess.
There were 4 fire pits in all (oddly) each got scattered and all nails, glass and other rubbish removed.
The bricks used were thrown and scattered around the undergrowth.
The remaining logs from the large shelter were also scattered around the woodland.
Part 2
No More Shelters
In the second of this three part final farewell series we take down the frame of the pallet wood cabin.
Really gutted to be doing this but needs must.
Seeing the village like this is so sad.
We can hold our heads high knowing we created a really special place for a time.
In next weeks final episode we say goodbye by having one final night.
It’s going to be a good one.
Part 3
The Last Hurrah
Well, the day has finally arrived to say goodbye to the village.
A final farewell.
The last hurrah.
We gave it the send off it deserves.
A great night with good friends and some good food eaten too.
We had a great fire which burned for over 12 hours and we burnt all the wood we had brought it.
Leaving only the wood we had gathered from down there.
For this I used the Dutch army DPM tent and the 3x3 @ddtarps overhead.
As always we took all our rubbish out with us and removed the nails from the fire.
As always a massive thank you to Paul for helping over the years and a big thanks to you all for watching.
