One explorer revisited the Fukushima exclusion zones and compared the footage he had captured six years ago to see breath-taking changes made to the area. Bob Thissen, 34, and his team of urban explorers, visited the towns of Namie, Futaba, Okuma and Tomioka in the exclusion zone in both 2017 and 2022 to compare the changes made to the area - they were shocked by what they found. The Fukushima nuclear disaster is one of the most well known disasters in human history with over 150,00 people were forced to evacuate back in 2011. Fast forward to 2017 and this explorer managed to capture some incredibly eerie footage of the deserted exclusion zone which he revisited in January 2023 and was astonished by the how hard the Japanese had worked to somewhat resurrect the area.
