Azan Rasheed, 21, from the Maldives, captured this insane footage where the plankton can emit a beautiful blue light when being disturbed by predators. Azan said: "This was my first time experiencing this. "I was so excited. I know this happens in the Maldives so when the season started, I was ready. "I went to the beach every night to see if we have this in Meeru. "On the third night, I eventually saw it. I was so excited, and I told so many people about it. "I went to the beach almost 20 nights for this in a row to see it. It was a breathtaking experience."
