Enter the dark and mysterious Forbidden Forest set from teh Harry Potter movies at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter. Located after the Dark Arts section of the Interior Sets, the Forbidden Forest transports guests into one of Hogwarts' most dangerous locations. Visitors who prefer to avoid the giant spiders, Argog's lair and the lighting effects can bypass part of the experience by taking the optional shortcut located just after Buckbeak the Hippogriff.
Home to an abundance of magical creatures, the Forbidden Forest first appeared in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone when Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy, and Hagrid entered the woods during detention. It was here that Harry first encountered the weakened Lord Voldemort drinking unicorn blood and met the centaur Firenze, who rescued him and warned of the dark events unfolding around Hogwarts. The forest continued to play a major role throughout the Harry Potter series and remains one of the most memorable locations in the Wizarding World.
Passing through the Hogwarts gates, guests are welcomed by one of Robbie Coltrane's original Hagrid costumes before walking beneath the Forbidden Forests' giant trees. Among the roots stands Buckbeak the Hippogriff, faithfully recreated with individually applied feathers by the Creature Effects team. Visitors can bow respectfully to Buckbeak before continuing deeper into the forest.
Further ahead, the atmosphere becomes darker as Aragog emerges from his lair accompanied by countless spiderlings. Created by the film's Creature Effects department, the enormous Acromantula measures more than 18 feet across and recreates the terrifying encounter from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Throughout the area, lighting, fog, sound effects, and interactive weather demonstrations reveal the techniques filmmakers used to bring the Forbidden Forest to life on screen. You can even cast a Patronus charm here in the Forbidden Forest.
The Forbidden Forest forms part of the First Year at Hogwarts event, running from 7th May to 7th September 2026 and celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone movie. Throughout the Studio Tour, guests can discover original props, costumes, Wizard Chess pieces, Fluffy the three-headed dog, and interactive experiences inspired by Harry Potter's first year at Hogwarts.

The Grand Reef is one of the signature attractions at Discovery Cove and is included with every reservation. Designed as a vast coral reef habitat, the Grand Reef allows guests to snorkel and swim through clear waters filled with thousands of tropical fish, graceful rays, and reef sharks. The experience is carefully designed for both exploration and relaxation, with shallow entry points, sandy beaches, islands, rope bridges, and hidden grottos that allow guests to explore the reef from above and below.
As you move through The Grand Reef, schools of colorful fish glide past, stingrays sweep across the sandy bottom, and reef sharks can be seen swimming through deeper sections of the habitat. Elevated walkways and bridges cross parts of the lagoon, offering unique views down into the water, while island paths and shaded areas provide quiet spots to pause and take in the surroundings. Complimentary life jackets are required and provided in the Grand Reef, ensuring a safe and accessible experience for all guests enjoying the reef.
In addition to the main snorkel experience, The Grand Reef is also home to several premium animal encounters for guests looking to enhance their visit. These include Ray Feeding with Discovery Cove aquarists, SeaVenture which is an underwater walking tour using a dive helmet, and the Shark Interaction Program which allows guests to swim alongside multiple shark species. These Grand Reef experiences are optional upgrades and availability is limited each day.
The Grand Reef opened in 2011 as a major expansion of Discovery Cove, replacing the park’s original reef system. The new Grand Reef habitat was designed to be larger, more immersive, and more environmentally sustainable, featuring improved water systems and expanded animal habitats. Its design reflects Discovery Cove’s focus on combining conservation, guest interaction, and resort style relaxation within a single experience.
Discovery Cove itself opened in 2000 and is owned and operated by United Parks and Resorts. Unlike traditional theme parks, Discovery Cove was created as a reservation only, all inclusive day resort where attendance is limited to maintain a calm and personal atmosphere. Over the years, additions like The Grand Reef and Freshwater Oasis have helped define Discovery Cove as one of Orlando’s most premium animal encounter destinations.
Located directly next to SeaWorld Orlando, Discovery Cove is part of a wider collection of marine themed attractions in the area, including Aquatica Orlando. Valgard: Realm of the Vikings officially opened at Paultons Park on 16th May 2026 with an impressive opening day ceremony that brought the world of Valgard to life through live entertainment, Viking performances, themed storytelling and special effects.
This unique Valgard opening day show featured fierce Viking warriors, powerful visual effects, dramatic smoke, fire elements and the symbolic Raven, helping establish Valgard’s mythology and immersive atmosphere from the very first day.
Designed to celebrate the arrival of Paultons Park’s most ambitious expansion to date, the Valgard opening ceremony introduced guests to a world inspired by Norse legends, ancient battles and Viking exploration.
At the heart of Valgard stands Drakon, Paultons Park’s first ever inverting roller coaster. Manufactured by Gerstlauer, this custom Euro-Fighter coaster features a vertical lift hill, beyond vertical drop, powerful inversions and intense Viking-themed thrills, making it the park’s most extreme coaster experience.
Raven, formerly Cobra, has been transformed into a Viking-themed family thrill coaster. This Gerstlauer bobsled coaster now operates as a major part of Valgard’s storyline, combining fast-paced twists, turns, drops and airtime with extensive new theming.
Vild Swing is the UK’s first ART Engineering Wild Swing, delivering gravity-defying swinging thrills within the Viking realm. Standing 12 metres tall, this family thrill ride adds another major attraction to Valgard’s lineup.
Younger adventurers can explore The Orchard Playground, featuring Viking-themed climbing structures, slides, lookout towers and interactive play areas.
The Nordic Feasting Hall serves as Valgard’s themed restaurant hub, offering Viking-inspired dining and expanding Paultons Park’s immersive food experiences.
Paultons Park, located in Hampshire’s New Forest, is one of the UK’s leading family theme parks and home to over 70 rides and attractions. The park is internationally recognised for Peppa Pig World, the world’s first Peppa Pig themed land, alongside major areas including Lost Kingdom, home to Velociraptor, Flight of the Pterosaur, Splash Lagoon and Dinosaur Tour Co.; Tornado Springs, featuring Storm Chaser, Cyclonator, Buffalo Falls and Al’s Auto Academy; Critter Creek; and Ghostly Manor, the interactive haunted dark ride that opened in 2025.

Thorpe Park Resort in Surrey is one of the UK’s leading theme parks, featuring major roller coasters, water rides, shops and themed areas including Fearless Valley, Swarm Island, Amity Cove, The Jungle, Lost City, Big Easy Boulevard, The Dock Yard, The Port and Basecamp. Major Thorpe Park rides include Hyperia, The Swarm, Nemesis Inferno, Stealth, Saw The Ride and Colossus.
Hyperia remains the headline roller coaster in Fearless Valley, standing 236 feet tall and reaching 81 mph as the UK’s tallest and fastest roller coaster. Swarm Island is home to The Swarm, the UK’s only wing coaster, surrounded by an apocalyptic alien invasion setting with a crashed aircraft and destroyed emergency vehicles. Other major attractions include the Stealth launch coaster, Nemesis Inferno inverted coaster, Saw The Ride horror themed roller coaster and Colossus, the world’s first roller coaster with 10 inversions.
Big Easy Boulevard includes Big Easy Bumpers, Detonator and Dobbles Tea Party, while Amity Cove features Tidal Wave, Storm Surge and Depth Charge alongside the Thorpe Park Megastore.
The Launchpad is now open on part of the former Amity Beach site, providing a dedicated area with seating and shaded spaces where guests can rest and recharge during a day at Thorpe Park. The remaining smaller section of Amity Beach continues alongside the new development.
Rumba Rapids has closed during the 2026 season, with no replacement attraction announced.
Thorpe Park opened in 1979 and is operated by Merlin Entertainments. Located in Surrey near London, the park is known for its collection of roller coasters, thrill rides and seasonal events including Fright Nights, alongside continued development of its attractions and guest facilities.

Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium is Italy’s first fully themed aquarium and forms part of Gardaland Resort. The Gardaland aquarium features over 40 themed tanks and habitats, taking guests on a journey from the freshwater environments of Lake Garda through to oceans around the world. With more than 5,000 marine creatures from over 100 species, Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium includes large viewing windows, interactive displays and a transparent underwater tunnel where sharks, rays and tropical fish swim overhead.
One of the standout features of Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium is the ocean tunnel, allowing guests to walk beneath marine life in a fully enclosed viewing experience.
The aquarium also includes themed zones focused on different ecosystems, alongside newer areas exploring underwater mimicry, where species such as octopus, seahorses and reef fish demonstrate camouflage and adaptation.
Interactive elements such as the SeaScan app allow visitors to scan and learn more about marine species throughout the attraction, combining education with exploration. Seasonal events also take place within the aquarium, including the Animal Crossing New Horizons experience, adding themed activities and character meet and greet opportunities during limited time events.
SEA LIFE aquariums are operated by Merlin Entertainments and are located across Europe, North America and Asia, forming a global network of marine attractions. Each SEA LIFE aquarium focuses on conservation, education and themed presentation, with locations including major cities such as London, Berlin and Orlando.
Gardaland Resort is one of Europe’s most visited theme park resorts, located near Lake Garda in northern Italy. Mr Potato’s Playground at Peppa Pig World in Paultons Park has been updated for 2026 with new play equipment, giving this popular outdoor Peppa Pig playground a refreshed experience for guests visiting Peppa Pig World. Mr Potato’s Playground remains one of the main outdoor play areas in Peppa Pig World, now featuring new climbing structures and updated play features alongside the original themed elements inspired by the Peppa Pig television series.
Mr Potato is a well known character from the Peppa Pig television series and stands at the entrance to Mr Potato’s Playground, encouraging activity and outdoor play. At the far end of Mr Potato’s Playground is the Muddy Puddles splash area allowing guests to enjoy water play in a themed environment inspired by the Peppa Pig television series.
Peppa Pig World continues to reflect current storylines from the Peppa Pig television series. Recent updates include the arrival of Baby Evie, the newest member of the Pig family, and storylines in which George Pig is diagnosed as moderately deaf and wears a hearing aid. These developments support positive representation and keep Peppa Pig World aligned with the evolving Peppa Pig series.
Peppa Pig World opened in April 2011 and was the world’s first Peppa Pig Theme Park, officially known as Paultons Park, Home of Peppa Pig World. Peppa Pig World features nine themed rides including George’s Dinosaur Ride, Daddy Pig’s Car Ride, Peppa’s Big Balloon Ride, Grandpa Pig’s Little Train, Grandpa Pig’s Boat Trip, Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club, The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride, Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Flight and Windy Castle Ride. Peppa Pig World also includes Peppa Pig’s House, George’s Spaceship Playzone and the world’s largest Peppa Pig Toy Shop.
Peppa Pig Theme Parks can now be found worldwide, including Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida, Peppa Pig Park in Günzburg Germany and Peppa Pig Theme Park in Texas. Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park remains the original Peppa Pig Theme Park.
Paultons Park continues to expand with Valgard Realm of the Vikings set to open in May 2026. This new Viking themed land will introduce major attractions including Drakon, Raven and Vild Swing, further expanding Paultons Park beyond Peppa Pig World.

Disney Village is the shopping, dining and entertainment district at Disneyland Paris. Designed by architect Frank Gehry, the area has undergone major changes over the years and is now being extensively transformed with new shops, restaurants, landscaping and redesigned facades.
Disneyland Paris opened in 1992 and is located in Chessy, approximately 32 km east of Paris. The resort includes Disneyland Park, Disney Adventure World, Disney Village and several Disney Hotels.
Disney Adventure World was formerly known as Walt Disney Studios Park and was renamed on 29 March 2026 alongside the opening of World of Frozen. The new Frozen land brings the Kingdom of Arendelle to Disneyland Paris with Frozen Ever After, A Celebration in Arendelle, Nordic Crowns Tavern, Arendelle Boutique and Fjord View Shop. Future expansion will add The Lion King-inspired Pride Lands, known in French as La Terre des Lions.

Les Mystères du Nautilus, translated as The Mysteries of the Nautilus, is a walkthrough attraction located beside Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain in Discoveryland at Disneyland Park. Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, the attraction opened on 4th July 1994 and takes guests through a recreation of Captain Nemos Nautilus submarine.
The entrance resembles a lighthouse beside the Nautilus lagoon, leading through an underwater corridor into the submarine. Inside are six main areas including the Ballasts Compartment containing Nemos collected treasure, Captain Nemos Cabin, the Charts Room, Diving Chamber, Salon and Engine Room.
Les Mystères du Nautilus underwent an extensive refurbishment before reopening on 1st July 2023. One of the biggest changes was inside the Salon, where the original giant squid attack was replaced with underwater scenes featuring marine life including dolphins, hammerhead sharks, humpback whales and sea turtles.
The Nautilus is based on Jules Vernes 1870 novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas and Disneys 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea starring James Mason as Captain Nemo. The attraction recreates the distinctive Victorian submarine design created for the Disney film and continues Discoverylands strong connection with Jules Verne and nineteenth-century visions of science, exploration and the future.
The attraction was originally conceived as part of the much larger Discovery Mountain project. Plans included an extensive indoor complex incorporating attractions and even an underwater restaurant, but the project was reduced in scale and eventually developed into Space Mountain, which opened in 1995.
Discoveryland is Disneyland Pariss retro-futuristic interpretation of the traditional Disney Tomorrowland concept. Inspired by science, invention and exploration, attractions in the area include Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Orbitron and Les Mystères du Nautilus.
Disneyland Park opened as Euro Disneyland on 12th April 1992 and includes Main Street, U.S.A., Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland, centred around Sleeping Beauty Castle, Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant.
Disneyland Paris is to the east of Paris and includes Disneyland Park, Disney Adventure World, Disney Village and Disney Hotels. Disney Adventure World expanded in 2026 with World of Frozen, Adventure Way and Adventure Bay joining Avengers Campus and World of Pixar, while development continues on The Pride Lands, La Terre des Lions, inspired by Disneys The Lion King.

[4K] Captain’s Sea Adventure in Thomas Land at Drayton Manor, join us for a full ride on this spinning Thomas & Friends boat ride as we set sail around Captain’s harbour in The Island of Sodor.
Captain’s Sea Adventure is a Thomas Land water themed flat ride at Drayton Manor Resort, located inside Europe’s only Thomas Land. This spinning boat ride lets guests board one of the boats for a sea adventure, with the boats rotating as they travel around the water themed ride area.
Captain’s Sea Adventure opened in Thomas Land in 2015 as part of the major Thomas Land expansion, alongside other attractions including Flynn’s Fire Rescue and Toby’s Tram Express. The ride was manufactured by Zamperla and is based on the Watermania ride system, combining spinning motion, boat style ride vehicles and Thomas & Friends theming.
The ride is themed around Captain, the lifeboat character from Thomas & Friends. Captain is part of the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre and is known for helping with rescue missions around the Island of Sodor.
Thomas Land at Drayton Manor officially opened on 15 March 2008 on the former site of Robinsons Land. The area expanded on 8 April 2015 with more Thomas & Friends attractions and Sodor themed areas. Thomas Land is included with Drayton Manor admission, with no separate charge for the land itself or the rides inside it.
Thomas Land features over 25 rides and attractions based on Thomas & Friends and The Island of Sodor. Popular rides include Thomas, Rosie & Percy Engine Tours, Troublesome Trucks Runaway Coaster, Cranky’s Drop Tower, Harold’s Helicopter Tours, Jeremy Jet’s Flying Academy, Blue Mountain Engines, Winston’s Whistle Stop Tour, Thomas & Percy’s Submarine Splash, Flynn’s Fire Rescue, and Toby’s Tram Express.
Thomas & Friends is based on The Railway Series books created by Reverend Wilbert Awdry, with the first book published in 1945. The Thomas & Friends television series first aired in 1984 and helped turn Thomas, Percy, James, Gordon, Henry, Toby and the wider Sodor cast into globally recognised characters.
Drayton Manor Resort is located near Tamworth in Staffordshire and includes Drayton Manor Theme Park, Thomas Land, Drayton Manor Zoo and the Drayton Manor Hotel. The resort has grown from a family run theme park into a major UK attraction with themed areas including Adventure Cove, Vikings and Frontier Falls.
