In this video I revisit an old project: producing alkali metals in my workshop. I've been working on this series of experiments for a number of weeks. I have not yet had complete success as you will see, but I've made quite a lot of progress. The dialogue for this video was unscripted so forgive my rambling. The weathers warming up! In this video I put together a DIY Ice Cream Cold Plate and make some seriously good ice cream. Give it a try!
Its been brought to my attention that dry ice is not legal in some countries. You can make ice cream in the same way on a thick piece of steel or stone that has been left in the freezer overnight. You just have to work fast because it wont stay cold enough for very long.
