At BRAFA, the experience goes far beyond the artworks themselves.

From the very first step into the fair, scenography sets the tone — shaping how visitors move, look, pause and connect.

For the 71st edition, the visual language of BRAFA was conceived with particular care. As so often, the Guest of Honour served as a starting point, inspiring an atmosphere that subtly echoes a deep appreciation for Flemish Old Masters — not through literal references, but through rhythm, balance, materiality and light.

What makes this approach truly resonate is how exhibitors themselves tap into this visual intelligence. Across the fair, galleries respond with quietly confident booth designs: restrained, thoughtful presentations that allow artworks to breathe, converse and reveal their strength without excess. Together, fair and exhibitors create a coherent landscape — calm, elegant, and deeply focused on looking.

In this video, voices from different perspectives reflect on that experience:

Laurence-Anne Doetsch, BRAFA Art Fair PR Manager, on how scenography shapes the identity of the fair

Philippe Wright and Laurence Daubies, art collectors, on how exciting the feeling of stepping onto the unique carpets inspires to explore all the stands.

Audrey Heselmans, freelance art director, on the dialogue between space, design and artworks

François de Callatÿ, specialist in ancient Greek coinages and finances, on how the renewed atmosphere sharpens perception and attention

Together, their reflections underline something essential: at BRAFA, scenography is not a backdrop — it is a shared language. One that unites the fair and its exhibitors in a subtle choreography of seeing, slowing down and truly engaging with art.

Watch the video and soak up the atmosphere of BRAFA's visual world.
