Former Assistant District Attorney Patrick J. D'Arcy provides an overview of the very public domestic violence (“DV”) charges against Direct D. As it currently stands (July 29, 2026), he is facing three felony charges and two misdemeanors. Because the felony charges include a defense of the First Amendment, I would expect that the anti-SLAPP motion will be discussed. Arizona’s anti-SLAPP statute is not as developed as it is in California, but it was approved for criminal cases in order to obtain a dismissal. Given that the misdemeanors are “back-ups” to the felony charges, and the overlapping nature of the DV felonies, I expect some of these charges to be dismissed unilaterally. I pulled a text message where this person said that Direct D did not threaten her, and was “good” to her son. Direct D voluntarily agreed to service, and was cooperative with the police. We’ll see how this plays out. Because of outdated information on the Sheriff's website, I included the correct information for the ability to put money on his books and to arrange jail calls, if you are so inclined. I am not implying or stating that you should donate any money at all. That's your call. I just wanted to save the jail a lot of calls regarding repetitive information. The bail is $108,500. Old warrants were included.
