Electric Spring is an annual festival of sonic exploration of cutting-edge practice in electronic music. The five-day programme of concerts, installations and symposia brings together a collection of people from diverse musical backgrounds to share their knowledge and perform music. The festival is curated by the Music and Music Technology staff of the University of Huddersfield.

exclusiveOr is Jeff Snyder and Sam Pluta. Pluta and Snyder have been collaborating for the last twelve years, producing two albums as exclusiveOr, 2006's self-titled record, made exclusively with Buchla and Serge synthesizers, and 2013's Archaea, an album that ushered in their era of live duo performance. In 2013, the duo first collaborated with the International Contemporary Ensemble, writing an hour-long work for brass, percussion, and electronics. This piece was recorded in the spring by a supergroup featuring Nate Wooley and Peter Evans, exclusiveOr, and Architeuthis Walks on Land. It will be released this year on Carrier Records.
