The video consists of a series of demonstrations of oscillators, based on the classic Nuffield "D circus" of experiments. The aim is to demonstrate the principle of isochronic motion: i.e. that for a simple harmonic oscillator the time period is independent of the amplitude. For some of the oscillators shown this is the case; for some it is almost the case; for others it most definately is not the case (although it may be for small oscillations). The video finishes with a short demonstration of chaotic motion.
