Superdavo0001 | Evolution Of A Space Photo - Planet Jupiter From Raw Video To Final Image [1080P] @Superdavo0001 | Uploaded 10 years ago | Updated 10 hours ago
Hello everyone!
Been a while since I made a space video, but I decided to make this one because a few people have often wondered how I take images of the stars and planets, so I decided to outline this process in a video (not in too much detail - don't worry!).
The data I used was of planet Jupiter, taken with my DMK 21AU618.AS camera, through my Explorer 200P telescope. The processing used a wide variety of software, which I will link to at the bottom. Anyways, enjoy the video!
Just to outline the process:
1. Use the software PIPP to align the images, and sort them into quality order
2. Stack them in Registax, and sharpen them with the 'wavelets' feature
3. Combine them, and post-process in in Photoshop
Software is all free, except Photoshop
PIPP : sites.google.com/site/astropipp (Norton Security moaned at me when I downloaded this - just ignore it)
Registax: http://www.astronomie.be/registax
Photoshop: http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/photoshop.html (This is the [ripoff] Creative Cloud version, I'm sure you can find the older versions for yourself)
Music is Venice Beach, by Topher Mohr & Alex Elena (It's a free song in the YouTube standard set)
