The legendary Hand Axe is actually pretty godlike.. For some reason it has the same range as the Sword despite having much higher speed.
This is probably the 2nd best weapon for a one hand build but the Machete and Pickaxe are also really good. Chainsaw is the best on AoD Ash by far. You get easy one hit kills or finishers on every basic unit and super high DPS heavy combos.
I actually think Swords are pretty bad.. They don't have enough balance bar damage or speed for finisher spam and faster weapons end up one shotting basic units anyways.
