.. They might have gone a bit too far with the Colossal Weapon buffs. The R1s were a bit too slow before but 2-Handing is actually broken now.
Post-patch Colossal Hammers are like the old Large/Great Club on steroids, but they also have Fume Ultra Greatsword blocking and better weapon skills. They are definitely worth the ridiculous weight and strength requirements.
