A new collab with Demon Slayer is going to be coming in a few weeks to MapleStory Global! This is a huge collab where for the first time we get a new playable character! The Tanjiro class! This update was released in MapleStory Korea and Japan so we have a lot of information already on what we can expect! So let’s dive right into all the cool stuff.
The Demon Slayer collab has you play as a unique class, the Tanjiro class. He has his own skills similar to the ones from the Anime. in KMS The Tanjiro class could only be created in a special world though in JMS this didnt seem to be the case and you could just create one Tanjiro per world. In KMS In this special world there are various boosts active. Tanjiro characters can enjoy 10x exp and 10x meso rates, you will receive a free VIP booster every day, and level 10 symbols for each arcane river area can be obtained from the guide menu. The recommended maps from the guide menu also have been changed to instanced maps, where players can have their own instanced monsters. So you don’t have to worried about getting KSed. And there will be a special store where you can purchase items with mesos, which I think shouldn’t be an issue with those 10x meso rates! In JMS where there isnt a special server, Tanjiro has a special skill that increases exp by 300% at level 1, level 30, level 120 and finally level 200 for up to 1200% bonus exp.
Tanjiro will unlock new skills as he levels up, he doesn’t have a fifth job advancement so no worries about nodestones, his final skill unlocks at level 250. Your goal will be to reach level 260 and complete your journal and other events for rewards for your other characters. Tanjiro has his own growth journal which will give him additional items, and items for your other characters. I have the list here from JMS. I think we are most likely getting this version of the event so I will only show these rewards and not those from KMS. Reaching level 200 will also net you another hyper burning booster in JMS which would be interesting for us as well if this comes to GMS. You can also get a absolab weapon box from completing the vanishing journey monster park stage. And a fake arcane weapon when you reach level 250. I dont know if this is a time limited item or not. And once you hit level 260 you’ll get a special medal. Tanjiro will not stay in the game by the way so once the event ends this class wont be playable anyone. However all Tanjiro will be converted to the Hero class. Tanjiro also has a special skill that will level up alongside him, providing bonus stats!
Boss challenges will also unlock weekly, where your tanjiro has to solo boss monsters, complete the weekly challenge for a cosmetic reward. The final reward for defeating normal lotus and damian rewards a nezuko android!
