Hi friends! I'm still figuring out how I want to do my wrap-ups...monthly? Quarterly? Something else? While I try and weigh a filming schedule with taking care of a small human, we'll try quarterly for now and maybe have some book-specific review videos and some that are more topical like the banned books video. What have you been reading these days, and is there anything else you've enjoyed lately outside of books? I've gotten very into birdwatching because it's something I can do from my house and is easily interruptable with a baby! My daughter is also getting interested in some of the birds she sees in books and on the feeder out back. Hope you're well!

A book review? Who is she?? Today, were reviving a video that helped booktube get its start and reviewing a classic that deserves more love. Iola Leroy is one of the first novels published in the US that was written by a Black woman. I found out about this book through a different nonfiction book, and Seji from The Artisan Geek has also made a video about it, all of which you can find down below.
