I decided to visit Ponyfest 2025 in Stockholm to see what a My Little Pony event is like. It was everything I expected...and more!

I love huge and bombastic geek events like NärCon Summer, but there's a certain charm in smaller, more intimate events too. And Ponyfest is definitely not a big and bombastic event. Instead, it's filled with people who share a passion for cute and cuddly things, for stories and for childhood memories - and for sharing their experiences with other like-minded people.
I attended Ponyfest on the Sunday when most of the activities happened. This meant that I missed the afternoon tea and the initial shopping spree on Saturday - but instead I got to experience fierce competitions, karaoke, auctions, a pony quiz and so much more.
And there was still plenty of shopping to be done, even if some of the most coveted items were long since gone. For example, the big Derpy charm! But I got a small one at least.
As usual I also interviewed people to get an understanding of why people visit Ponyfest, and what they think about it.
