King Con is a geek convention in the north of Stockholm, in the town of Kungsängen, and in 2024 it was back - even bigger and better than ever. At the convention you can play role-playing games, learn to draw manga, test an escape room, try different board games, play VR games, paint miniatures, dress up for the cosplay competition, and a lot more. Oh, and there's also live Mario Kart, Guitar Hero / Rock Band, Warhammer 40k games, and a live band playing.
This convention aims to be a fun place for children and adults alike, and it's arranged by Spelsällskapet Upplands-Bro, that has been an organization since 2020. The convention itself is three years old by now, and it's already expanded from a single day in 2022, to two days in 2023, to two and-sort-of-half-Friday as well in 2024. And, unlike other more commercially-inclined conventions, this event is completely free.
