This morning I was walking my dog and noticed something beautiful.

The sun was shining… and it was raining at the same time.

It felt like an allegory for life right now.

Many of us are smiling while carrying heartbreak.
Showing up while feeling exhausted.
Celebrating victories while grieving losses.

We’re living in a season of sunshine and rain, and every storm runs out of rain.

There are moments that make us laugh and moments that make us cry.
Moments of gratitude and moments of pain.
Moments when we feel blessed and moments when we wonder how much more we can take.

The truth is, life is rarely all joy or all sorrow. Most days it’s both.

Maybe that’s why the old song still resonates:

If you’re carrying both today, know that you’re not alone.

Keep walking.
Keep trusting.
Keep believing.
