I’m your guide tonight, leading you through the dim places where sleep grows thin, shadows breathe a little too deeply, and the things we dismiss as nightmares begin to feel uncomfortably real. So draw the curtains, hush the room, and steady your breath, because what follows drifts between dream and waking, between the life we live… and the life taken from us when we aren’t looking.
Tonight’s tale hints at a lifelong haunting: a presence that steals more than peace of mind, a secret bargain buried in a family’s past, and a desperate struggle to reclaim the time that has been quietly slipping away. What hunts a person only when they are helpless? And what would you do if you learned the monster wasn’t a metaphor, but a debt coming due?
Today’s tale of terror is all four parts of ‘Every night for the past 18 years someone has been sneaking into my bedroom and sleeping next to me’, an original series by Mandahrk, kindly shared with me via NoSleep and narrated here for you all with the author’s kind permission.
