Even though the EU is taking strong steps to drive digital transformation, there is still a long way to go.
📡 Deployment of fibre and 5G stand-alone networks are still progressing slower than expected
💼 The adoption of key technologies like AI, cloud and data analytics in small and medium enterprises is also facing some challenges
💻 Digital skills remain an ongoing concern, with just over half of the EU population having basic digital skills and the shortage of ICT specialists persisting
🏥 Digitalisation of public services in the EU is advancing steadily and effectively to 100%, however a substantial portion of governmental digital infrastructure continues to depend on service providers outside the EU
